Axios Fires Reporter for Calling out Ron DeSantis Event as “Propaganda”:
Sooner or later, the elite political press is going to run headlong into this pack of hyenas. It’s going to be interesting to see who has learned to stand up for themselves in the years since 2016. This episode is not promising. In addition, more than a few people—and not all of them Democrats—have begun to wonder if DeSantis is getting soft treatment because he’s seen as a failsafe option against a third candidacy from El Caudillo del Mar-A-Lago without being truly opposed to him.

While on the subject of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s sexual harassment allegations, Doocy, who had already asked several questions on the subject, decided to press on. “Does the administration want the Justice Department to initiate a civil rights investigation into these harassment allegations revealed today?”
With many other reporters in the room waiting for their turn, the press secretary made a decision: the driest of Psaki bombs was in order. “We do something new here that feels foreign from the last four years and allow the Justice Department to act independently on investigations.” Deadpan at its finest.

On July 26, 2021, MPR News had a staff of 67 full-time and regular part-time employees.
Of those 67 people, 15 identify as people of color and 52 identify as white.
Of those 67 people, 34 identify as female and 33 identify as male.
While there’s room for improvement, and they admit they haven’t looked at lgbtq+ representation yet, this is a good start at recognizing the need for diverse views and how they can bring that to the table.
